Whenever anyone visits a gurudwara it's very important to us that they are welcomed, so they must be offered a drink and probably food as well. It's like a disgrace to us if we don't feed a visitor. Every Sunday a big meal is served free to everyone who comes. If you go to the Golden Temple in India, you can stay in a special free dormitory for visitors and have meals as well.
