What we do at the synagogue
The service is usually in Hebrew, the traditional Jewish religious language, but quite often English is used too. Anyone can lead the service if they know enough about Jewish teaching, though it’s traditionally a man. There are some readings from the Torah, some singing together and some special singing usually from one man on his own. You have to cover your head in a synagogue, and Jewish men have a cap which they keep for this.
