I got beaten up two months ago by six kids - they were only about 16. As I was going into a shop they asked me to get them some alcohol because they weren't old enough. I told them no.

When I came out the followed me, called me a Polish **** and when I had to turn off the main road they just got me. I was amazed. They were so young, and they went off laughing, leaving me with a broken rib and needing 8 stitches in my head.

Why did they do it? Because they've got the idea that we are taking jobs from local people. That's almost worse than getting beaten up, knowing that when you open your mouth and people know you're Polish, everyone thinks you're stealing their jobs. We aren't. My boss at the farm says he always advertises the jobs we Poles do, but there are not enough local people to do them.
